Meet Dr. Tyler Wood
Dr. Tyler Wood was born and raised in Farmington, Utah. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Utah State University, and continued to Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery and certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2018. Dr. Wood then earned his master’s degree in dentistry as well as an orthodontic certification from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2022. During his education, Dr. Wood earned several awards including the Delta Dental Award for Innovation in Oral Care Research, the AD Williams Research Fellowship Grant, and the VCU Merit Award for Academic Achievement. Additionally, Dr. Wood is a board-certified orthodontist through the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Wood is passionate about helping others and has volunteered his time and talents to a variety of service projects and events including the VCU Jamaica Project, Virginia Give Kids a Smile Day, Virginia Dental Association Missions of Mercy, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his free time, Dr. Wood can be found spending time with his wife and three children, watching movies, playing board games, listening to audio books, cheering for the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Avalanche, or traveling (12 countries and counting!). A fun fact about Dr. Wood is that he is fluent in Swedish, both written and conversationally!
