Our expert doctors, Dr. Crane and Dr. Seager, are experienced orthodontists that hold one of the highest Invisalign® designations as Platinum Invisalign® Providers. They also have extensive training in treating children and teens aged 9 to 17 years old.
What is Universal Children’s Day? Crane & Seager Explains
The United Nations first established World Children’s Day in 1954 as a way to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. It started to show children around the world that they matter to adults. Every year, groups around the world use this time to make sure they are meeting the needs of families and ensuring the success of future generations. The date shows when the UN General Assembly signed the Declaration of the Rights of the Child as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. At Crane & Seager, we believe children are the future, so we are happy to acknowledge this holiday like any other!
How Does Crane & Seager Support Children?
In our Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado dental offices, we offer several orthodontic treatments for children and teens to achieve their ideal smile. There are several types of orthodontic treatments available for children, many of which hold the potential to stave off larger problems down the road. If our children are to succeed in leading the world, we want to help them do it with a bright and healthy smile.
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven. By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.
